my dad requested the nutribullet for his birthday of all things so it finally has arrived. long story short, we love it! it comes with a lot of neat things and even a user guide and recipe book. the things i like about it are that it really is easy to use, convenient, does what it claims (extractor/juicer), super fast, and most importantly cleaning up is easy! you also get two other cups (small and large) that are to go with a lid and handle! it has two blades, one for juicing and one for milling. this nutribullet is basically better than a smoothie machine because you can add nuts and seeds and it is better than just a juicer since the blades are able to ground up all of the fruit so you are not just left with juice and no fiber. it really does incorporate everything and "extracts" all the nutrients, nothing is left out. here are the four simple steps to follow.
1. fill the cup (2 different sizes) with 50% leafy greens and 50% fruit
2. fill only up to the max line with water
3. add 1/8 to 1/4 cup nuts and/or seeds if desired
4. twist on the nutribullet blade and blend until smooth
some of the negative things i've noticed are that you do need to mix it a little bit longer for the say almonds to chop up well or you will get little chunks but not a whole lot. it does chop it up very fast and tends to almost heat up the drink which i don't like. you could leave it in the fridge for a bit or add ice before/after. you also need to be careful taking the nutribullet container out once it is done because if you tilt it too much some could spill on the machine. i try and take it out with both hands and lift straight up then twist the cap over the sink just in case some spills and pour your liquid in a cup over the sink.

nuts-
i found i really liked juicing in the morning and bringing a cup to school to sip on during class. it helps me stay awake and hydrated. these drinks will not be sweet like your regular smoothies (if you're used to that) but if you can't stand the unsweetened taste of it even when adding in sweeter fruit you can add some agave syrup or the like. but i would suggest trying very hard to adjust to the taste and not over kill the sugar because sugar is what we are trying to stay away from and natural fruit sugar should be plenty.1. fill the cup (2 different sizes) with 50% leafy greens and 50% fruit

when putting in ingredients put the ones hardest to chop last. so greens, fruit, nuts. |
