my slightly sassy top suggestions for a healthier diet- based on experience! :)
so if someone told me they were serious about changing their diet and wished to look and feel better these are a few must do things i would recommend as a starting point..
1. cut out ALL sodas/pops and sugary drinks- the only liquid you really need is water-and lots!
favorite.
in case you don't know what that looks like...my pups can show ya! it's his favorite position

- the almighty fast food is a no-no so put down the double bacon cheeseburger and COOK YOUR OWN FOOD! if you don't like to cook alone then get family and friends! not knowing how is no excuse to never start.
- have like NO time? well then you need to figure out your priorities and plan ahead.
- i don't think i need to go into much detail about why that food is not so healthy...basically it doesn't rot, everrr!
- wiki definition:"foods that are unprocessed and unrefined, or processed and refined as little as possible, before being consumed. whole foods typically do not contain added ingredients, such as salt, carbohydrates, or fat."
- wiki also states that "diets rich in whole and unrefined foods, like whole grains, dark green and yellow/orange-fleshed vegetables and fruits, legumes, nuts and seeds, contain high concentrations of antioxidant phenolics, fibers and numerous other phytochemicals that may be protective against chronic diseases."
- whole foods contain the most nutrients therefore stick to them in their natural form! also fresh fruits and veggies are better than canned because canned foods still contain preservatives!
- as you've heard a million times...more meals and smaller portions throughout the day is better than no breakfast, some lunch, and giant dinner before bed. try your best to eat throughout the day when you get hungry. keep healthy snacks available at all times.
- along with that- don't eat or drink at least two hours before bed (it interferes with sleep and might contribute to weight gain)
- "if you booze, you don't lose" so if you wish to reduce your weight, watch those drinks!
- read this article for more info -main point is that alcohol actually reduces your body's ability to reduce fat

- it is VERY important to take the time to relax for small periods throughout your day if you can't more.
- only you know what you enjoy doing that is relaxing- but some excellent recommendations for everyone are meditation & yoga !
